The Virginia's "Best" School Bus Technician Competition scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in Henrico County, is postponed until a later date this summer. Updated information and dates will be provided as soon as it is available.

 

 

2012 - VIRGINIA’S “BEST” SCHOOL BUS TECHNICIAN COMPETITION

 

VAPT is pleased to announce the third statewide competition to identify the “Best” School Bus Technician. This event will be held Wednesday April 4, 2012 in Henrico and starts at 9:00 A.M. It will be held at the Henrico County, Central Automotive Maintenance Facility located at 10301 Woodman Road in Glen Allen.

 

The competition is limited to one participant from each School Division (or City/County/Contracted Maintenance Operation, responsible for school bus maintenance).   All participants must be currently employed as a School Bus Technician (or equivalent title), working full time with primary duties of school bus maintenance and service.

 

The competition will consist of a Written Exam and a Hands-On Exercise.

2011 VIRGINIA’S “BEST”

SCHOOL BUS TECHNICIAN COMPETITION

 

Congratulations to Jason Sharpe from Henrico County, 1st Place Winner of the 2011 Virginia’s “Best” School Bus Technician Competition.  Fifteen (15) School Bus Technicians from across the Commonwealth competed in this year’s competition which was held at the Spotsylvania County Maintenance Facility on Wednesday April 6, 2011. 2nd Place went to Sheldon Pratt from Loudon County and 3rd Place went to Anthoni Bobeau from Prince George County.
